When I first came to you as Mayor, our water was contaminated. You continually received notices that the water was not safe. Those notices are gone now because I ensured clean safe drinking water for our town. It was one of my promises to you.
You deserve first rate services and I am fighting for those services for you. We have brand new underground sewer and water lines and brand new underground gas lines because I made a promise that Enfield will always get funding dollars.
A Mayor that has honesty and integrity and a track record gets more for our town. Gone are the days when bad government scared funders away from investing.
I will not tolerate hazardous waste dumping of any kind in our town by anyone period.
I believe it is my duty as Mayor to protect the health and safety of our residents. I will, therefore, make sure that anyone dumping asbestos, lead, and any other carcinogenic item will be held accountable by the law. I have taken all appropriate actions

I believe it is my duty as Mayor to protect the health and safety of our residents. I will, therefore, make sure that anyone dumping asbestos, lead, and any other carcinogenic item will be held accountable by the law. I have taken all appropriate actions to make sure it doesn't happen again.
That person or group will also be held financially accountable to pay for the dumping of hazardous waste in our town.
We will use funding pertinent to brownfields clean-up of hazardous waste and not use grant funds meant for town economic development.
I care about your health needs.
I instituted a town wide 9:00 PM curfew during the early days of the pandemic when no one knew what to expect. This good practice was followed until the vaccine was made available and CDC Guidelines were established. I informed local businesses to follow the 3 w's - wait 6ft between people, washing hands

I instituted a town wide 9:00 PM curfew during the early days of the pandemic when no one knew what to expect. This good practice was followed until the vaccine was made available and CDC Guidelines were established. I informed local businesses to follow the 3 w's - wait 6ft between people, washing hands and wear a mask until the Governor lifted the safety precautions.
I was able to get our County Health Department to bring the vaccine directly to Enfield at the Enfield Middle School so our town residents could get the vaccine without travelling out of town for the vaccine.
Enfield was the only town that utilized all the vaccines made available to us, none were thrown away.
We kept our numbers low and our people safe.

I know what it was like to have to leave my town of Enfield and go find a job elsewhere because there were no jobs in Enfield.
Employing our residents first. From small business to manufacturing., Companies trust that Enfield has the right leadership for them to succeed and have decided to locate here. A good Mayor brings trust and integrity to the office.

"I want you to thrive in a healthy and safe environment!" New walking paths are here, new basketball and tennis courts, a bicycle planning grant will bring safe bicycle paths and keep our children active.
The combination of community policing and supporting the police programs within our community have lowered our crime rate.
I believe that recreation is also of extreme importance in our community. Having programs for our children keeps them safe after school and builds confidence for their future success.
There is no reason that our recreation department has been closed after COVID mandates were lifted.
Lets get recreation back on track!

Mayor Anderson was instrumental in also getting land annexed to Enfield in order to provide citizens on Canal Street town water and sewer and paved streets. "The people living on this street requested annexation." This entailed highly skilled property negotiation and acquisition in order to have contiguous land for legal annexation. Mayor Anderson was able to accomplish this.
The electric bill is of paramount importance. Mayor Anderson has met with area electric suppliers to come up with a plan to get Enfield out of the electric business and save money for our residents. There is only one answer -- "get Enfield out of the electric business!"
